Medical Assistant – 37 Weeks (CMA, CPT, CET)
Students learn the basics of both clinical and administrative skills. Clinical skills include, but are not limited to the following: taking medical histories, preparing patients for examinations, assisting the physician during the exam, collecting and preparing laboratory specimens, drawing blood, and taking electrocardiograms. Students are also fully trained as Medical Administrative Professionals. This enables them to perform both front and back office procedures in a physician's private practice, group medical practices, or long-term medical care facilities. Graduates are prepared to work in a physician’s office, dentist’s office, hospital business office, health maintenance organization (HMO), or insurance company. At the end of the course you will be taking National Health Career Certification exam for Certified Medical Assistant, Certified Phlebotomy Technician and Certified EKG Technician.

Medical Administrative Assistant – 36 Weeks (CMAA)
This course of instruction prepares individuals for entry-level jobs as a medical administrative assistant. Graduates may find suitable employment with doctor’s offices, clinics, hospitals, and a variety of other medical practitioners. Students will learn the basics of how to handle the clerical, administrative and business portion of a medical office. Students will learn basics of appointment setting, medical records filing, as well as introduction to billing and coding, medical terminology and human resources. Graduates are prepared to work in a physician’s office, dentist’s office, hospital business office, health maintenance organization (HMO), or insurance company. .
