IT TRAINING:

These programs is designed to provide learning experiences that prepare graduates with a solid background of practical training directly related to the computer service, network engineering, network administration, and network security job markets. Students tailor their curriculum to local market needs and individual interests through selection of electives leading to specialization in network management or network security. These programs provide an advanced understanding of client/server computer concepts, with emphasis on the engineering practices used on modern networks. Students will learn to operate, install, configure, secure, troubleshoot, upgrade, and maintain PCs and complex networks. Students will obtain the skills necessary to provide high-end, solution-based technical support for a variety of inter- and intra-network situations.

Network Support Specialist – 10 Weeks (A+, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008r2)
Network Support Specialists design, install and support an organization’s LAN (local area network), WAN (wide area network), network segment, internet, or intranet system. Their job is to provide day-to-day onsite administrative support for network users. They are employed in a variety of work environments, including professional offices, small businesses, government, and large corporations.  

This course of instruction prepares individuals for jobs as Network Support Technician, Network Administrator, and Project Manager found in IT organizations and small and medium businesses. Network Support Specialists are utilized by a wide variety of private industries, as well as government, educational and non-profit agencies. Students will learn to describe the features and functions of networking components, and possess the knowledge and skills needed to install, configure and troubleshoot basic networking hardware, protocols and services.  Students will also install, configure and troubleshoot problems on windows Server 2003/2008r2 and Windows Vista/7 environments.

Network Engineer – 37.5 Weeks (A+, Security+, MCTS, MCTIP Enterprise Admin, Linux+, Project+, CCNA)
This course of instruction prepares individuals for advanced computer networking & security jobs. The course prepares students in the most advanced networking certifications and software available including Windows Vista and Windows 7. The student will learn the skills and abilities necessary to setup, install, configure, repair and manage modern computer networks and their security. Student will also learn how to connect Microsoft and Linux networks as well learn how to manage IT projects. Graduates of this program may find employment as a Systems Administrator, Network Administrator, Network Engineer or Technical Support Representative.

Students will learn the skills necessary to lead organizations in the successful implementation, administration, and maintenance of the most advanced Microsoft Windows desktop platform and Microsoft server products. Students will also learn how to maintain, install and manage network security.
